LinkedIn Quietly Rolls Out New Algorithm: 360Brew

Do you know Greg Star? Founder & CEO of Carvertise, Greg describes his current role as Founder of Driven Authentic Branding Solutions, “I takeover executives and sales teams personal LinkedIn Profiles to generate revenue and increase your bottom line.”
Fortunately for us, Greg digested and debriefed the newest LinkedIn shift…and it’s a big one. With Greg’s help, we can come to grips with it. He writes:
“Information on the new LinkedIn algorithm:
LinkedIn has kind of quietly rolled out 360Brew (weird name?) a 150 billion parameter AI model that fundamentally rewrites how content gets ranked on the platform.
I did some research- here is the TL:DR
What is 360Brew?
Built by LinkedIn’s Foundation AI Technologies team, 360Brew is a decoder-only foundation model that replaces thousands of fragmented ranking systems with a single AI that actually reads and understands your content like a human would.
This isn’t a minor tweak. It’s a complete philosophical shift from modeling behavior to understanding meaning.
How the Ranking Changed
360Brew evaluates content using three core signals:
1. Meaning: Does your post have a clear, specific subject the system can map to audience interests?
2. Consistency: Have you posted reliably on related topics before?
3. Engagement Relevance: When people engage, do they match the audience the model expected?
So what does this mean?
✓ Clarity wins over cleverness – Vague “thought-provoking” posts without substance will get buried
✓ Expertise beats virality – Industry-specific insights now outperform generic viral content
✓ Alignment matters – Your profile, niche, and content must align. The algorithm notices inconsistency.
✓ Quality engagement counts – Relevant conversations with your target audience matter more than vanity metrics
✓ Long-term value pays off – Great content gains traction over time across feed, search, and notifications
✗ Algorithm hacks are dead – The era of gaming the system with engagement pods and viral tricks is over
My take:
I think this is great. Consistent, authentic reputation building is what is now being rewarded.
The professionals who thrive on LinkedIn in 2025 won’t be the ones with the most followers or the viral posts. They’ll be the ones who consistently share clear insights and interesting stories within their area of expertise. Which is what in my view, it always should have been.”
