Join an internationally recognized hospitality destination as it launches an iconic lifestyle resort in the beautiful Mediterranean. We are seeking a dynamic, strategic Director of Sale and Marketing ideally with pre-opening experience to lead the commercial launch and drive the commercial strategy across sales, marketing for the pre-opening and ongoing operations. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape market positioning and revenue growth for a brand known for music, entertainment, and luxury hospitality.

We are seeking a skilled Director of Sales & Marketing to lead all commercial aspects of the resort’s launch and ongoing market presence, ensuring strategic coordination and exceptional results that exceed stakeholder and guest expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and execute the resort’s commercial strategy across sales, marketing, and revenue streams for the pre-opening and ongoing operations.
  • Lead all pre-opening initiatives, including budget planning, team recruitment, and establishing partnerships with local and global stakeholders.
  • Implement B2B and B2C strategies to attract leisure, corporate, MICE, and luxury market segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, travel advisors, and corporate clients.
  • Represent the resort at major trade shows, sales missions, and hospitality industry events.
  • Oversee digital marketing, public relations, and social media to position the resort as a premier lifestyle destination.
  • Manage influencer collaborations, media partnerships, and targeted campaigns to drive awareness and direct bookings.
  • Collaborate with revenue management to define pricing, distribution, and forecasting strategies, optimizing performance across all sales channels (OTAs, GDS, direct).
  • Embed the brand’s unique identity into all touchpoints of the guest experience, from pre-arrival to post-stay.
  • Recruit, lead, and inspire a high-performing commercial team, fostering innovation, energy, and accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in hospitality sales and marketing, with senior leadership roles in lifestyle or luxury resorts or hotels.
  • Proven experience in pre-opening hotel or resort sales and marketing, including commercial market launch (preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of European leisure, corporate, and MICE markets.
  • Solid background in digital marketing, branding, and business development.
  • Proficiency with CRM, revenue management systems, and digital sales platforms.
  • Strong data-driven and strategic mindset; commercially agile.
  • Inspirational leader with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluent in English; other European languages a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, or Business.
  • Willing and able to be based onsite in Mediterranean Island or to relocate; frequent travel required for business development.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and events.

COMPENSATION: 
The position offers a net monthly salary of approximately €7,000. This means that, after taxes and social security contributions required by law, your take-home pay would be approximately €7,000 per month.
