As predicted, nearly 3.09 million people were screened by TSA at airports nationwide to close out the Thanksgiving holiday. This figure makes it the busiest day ever at U.S. airports and only the second time that the 3 million mark was reached in one day.

Over Thanksgiving 2024 between November 26 and December 2, that figure will be around 18.3 million people, according to the agency.
