The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for all food & beverage service operations daily, including its activities, dining options, beverage options, and interactions between customers, coworkers, and vendors. Being a dynamic hands-on leader that is comfortable being the face-of, and point-of-contact for the department is essential. Constantly engaging with and working with the departmental coworkers is critical to the success in this position. The director will ensure that excellent dining and other food and beverage experiences are provided for the members and guests. This position reports to the Managing Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead hiring, training, coaching, and development for all food & beverage team members.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork while upholding service standards and resort policies.
  • Supervise, motivate, and evaluate team performance to drive guest and member satisfaction.
  • Implement and oversee training programs on service, menu knowledge, and compliance.
  • Manage financial resources, payroll, and labor allocation to meet operational goals.
  • Plan, organize, and execute member events, catering, and beverage functions.
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, and compliance for all food and beverage operations.
  • Ensure consistent communication and coordination with other resort departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or equivalent food & beverage leadership experience.
  • Proven management background in a high-end resort, club, or culinary facility.
  • Certification as Food Protection Manager and TIPS (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Experience in delivering training and maintaining high service standards.
  • Skilled in budget management, payroll, and operational planning.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including events, evenings, and weekends.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest and member experiences.
