A luxurious Utah resort is seeking an exceptional and visionary Area Director of Marketing who will shape and execute the overall marketing strategy for the resort.

The Area Director of Marketing supports the organization in generating profitable revenue to increase RevPAR, capture market share, and elevate brand awareness for the property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead the development and delivery of the annual marketing and communications plan and budget that is harmoniously aligned with each Resort’s strategic priorities and revenue goals.
  • Unleash your creative prowess to develop and oversee the execution of marketing strategies that align with property goals and positioning, ultimately captivating our target market and driving top-line revenue.
  • Elevate our collaboration with the property revenue team, empowering them to make informed decisions and unlock the full potential of revenue and room night goals.
  • Join forces with the Resort team leaders to conjure up spellbinding marketing strategies for Food & Beverage, Spa and Wellness, Recreation, Weddings/Catering and Group Sales.
  • Prepare and manage the marketing expense budget’s monthly forecasting and analyze the marketing efforts’ overall effectiveness.
  • Lead captivating weekly and monthly meetings with department heads across property and agency teams, harmonizing our collective vision.
  • Mastermind tactical promotions and offers that entice our guests to indulge in our luxurious offerings, driving incremental revenue.
  • Oversee the management of all internal and external communications through a digital presence, including but not limited to property website, third party channels, and social media, while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Oversee the orchestration of all property photography and video shoots, meticulously arranging shot lists, schedules, property access, talent, etc., all while preserving the essence of our brand.
  • Unveil workflow process improvements that optimize efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring our website enchants and captivates visitors with its seamless functionality and design.
  • Develop and implement marketing and public relations strategies that ignite desire and promote revenue growth among key targeted segments, solidifying our Resort’s irresistible brand positioning and image.
  • Be the architect of our guest journey, expertly managing all CRM touchpoints, including outbound email marketing, alluring retention strategies, and new customer acquisition initiatives.
  • Command our web and social media infrastructure, creating an intoxicating blend of fresh and engaging and engaging content while advancing functionality and design.
  • Prepare monthly and bi-weekly marketing reports for ownership, showcasing the impact of our campaigns and initiatives.
  • Craft captivating print and digital advertising opportunities that leave a lasting impression, expertly weaving paid and unpaid placements into our marketing strategy.
  • Immerse yourself in the local community, expertly managing the Resort’s reputation through captivating PR initiatives, local community outreach that sparks intrigue, enticing partnerships, and promotional collaboration that amplifies our allure.
  • Set the stage for an extraordinary digital marketing plan, forging captivating partnerships and strategies that maximize hotel revenue production and align with hotel positioning.
  • Manage the OTA strategy in collaboration with Revenue Management through monthly market reviews and media investments.
  • Manage the strategy and agency partnership relationships with the Resort Public Relations, Digital, Brand and Social Agencies.
  • Track campaign benchmarks and KPIs to ensure success and optimize campaigns as needed.
  • Stay on top of industry trends to ensure properties are at the cutting edge of hospitality services.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • At least 5 to 7 years (preferably more) of luxury resort/hotel marketing experience.
  • A college graduate with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or the same in experience.
  • A brand ambassador for luxury lifestyle who lives and breathes extravagance.
  • A dynamic, enthusiastic, and creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed.
  • Experience managing and leading a team of at least 4 or more marketing professionals.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge including social media platforms.
  • A strong leader with desire to satisfy the needs of others with a proven track record in a similar position.
  • A true entrepreneur that thrives in fast paced environments.
  • Organized, personable, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
