A full-service performance improvement company specializing in Meeting, Incentive Travel & Event management is seeking a resilient and enthusiastic professional to serve as the new Account Executive.

The Account Executive is an individual contributor responsible for strategically positioning and selling all product lines (meetings, sales incentives, experiential marketing events, production services, and channel loyalty programs) to Fortune 500 accounts. The Account Executive develops new strategic business relationships and opportunities within the specified vertical markets with the ultimate goal of achieving increased sales and profits and return on investment; identifies and analyzes new opportunities; is responsible for communicating effectively with other members of the Business Development team, Marketing, Customer Experience, and other functions.

Always with an eye towards what problem or objective the client is trying to solve, this position is ultimately responsible for the acquisition of new accounts, growing these and current accounts, gathering client objectives and requirements, client penetration, profitable sales, completing a proforma, preparing the transition of programs once sold to operations, ensuring SOWs or LOIs are signed, and owning the client relationship throughout its lifecycle with the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Drives new business development and growth within target markets and existing clients, implementing strategies for profitable sales and diligently following up on leads.
  • Achieves annual sales and margin targets, consistently qualifying opportunities and ensuring profitable business by identifying client needs and decision-makers.
  • Clearly communicates value throughout the sales cycle and collaborates with internal teams to address business issues and growth opportunities.
  • Partners with teams like Account Operations, Experience Design, and Marketing to develop client
    experiences and drive strategic account management.
  • Manages RFP processes, pricing requests, and client problem resolution, working closely with leadership and finance teams.
  • Maintains expert industry knowledge, keeps CRM data updated, and anticipates client concerns with
    proactive solutions.
  • Builds strong client relationships, ensures smooth program transitions, and stays current on industry trends.
  • Completes required reports, forecasts, and documentation, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience selling services in the event planning and individual incentive industry; must have deep industry knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related area.
  • Must have proven industry success and a track record of closing new business. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with a CRM system; experience with Sales Force is a plus.
