FIFA Receives Over 500M Ticket Requests for World Cup

During the random selection draw phase, the demand for tickets reached 500 million. It has been widely reported that the application period from mid-December 2025 through mid-January 2026 saw an average of 15 million requests per day. There was particularly strong interest from Germany, Spain, England, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia, in addition to the host countries.

The highest in-demand matches include Columbia v Portugal in Miami (June 27) followed by Mexico v Korea Republic in Guadalajara (June 18), the final in New York New Jersey (July 19), the tournament’s opening match between Mexico and South Africa in Mexico City (June 11), and the round-of-32 match in Toronto (July 2).
