Brand USA Shuts Down GoUSA TV Streaming, Cuts Staff

In a cost-saving move reported by Skift, Brand USA has shut down its ad-supported streaming service, GoUSA TV, that promotes in-bound tourism on platforms such as Roku, Apple TV and YouTube. Efforts will be focused on other distribution such as the new America the Beautiful campaign, slated to launch in international markets in October.
Brand USA spokesperson Chris Heywood told Skift. “As part of this restructuring, approximately 15% of our work force was reduced. This reorganization strengthens our operational efficiencies.” In July, Congress slashed federal funds for Brand USA from $100 million to $20 million.
