
A premier golf and country club offers a world-class setting with championship golf, exceptional dining, and luxurious amenities catering to a distinguished membership.
The Catering and Event Manager to plan and execute club and private events from the earliest stages through post-event analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with culinary professionals and a dedicated Food & Beverage team, ensuring that every event delivers an outstanding experience for our members and guests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of club and private events, ensuring seamless delivery from initial consultation to post-event follow-up.
- Collaborate with Food & Beverage and Culinary teams to create high-quality culinary experiences aligned with event needs and budgets.
- Procure event-specific props, decorations, entertainment, and other essentials to enhance event ambiance and guest satisfaction.
- Develop and manage event budgets; track expenditures and prepare post-event profit & loss statements.
- Propose innovative event ideas and assist in developing the catering business plan.
- Create marketing collateral for events and contribute to club marketing activities.
- Attend external conferences and workshops to remain current with industry trends and best practices.
- Meet regularly with members to discuss event details, menu planning, décor, and pricing.
- Coordinate set up and execution logistics for all functions; attend and supervise all events.
- Use POS (point-of-sale) systems, including NorthStar (preferred), to process transactions, manage event orders, and support reporting needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in event planning and/or catering, with a strong preference for experience in private clubs, high-end resorts, or hotels.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, events management, or a related field is strongly preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a highly effective and outgoing communication style.
- Demonstrated experience developing event budgets and preparing detailed financial reports.
- High degree of discretion, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential matters appropriately.
- Proficient in MS Office and POS systems (NorthStar experience a plus), with alignment to the club’s core values and dedication to exceptional member service.
